NJPSA Career & Retirement Services
Career Services
NJPSA members interested in career opportunities can take advantage of the Job Seekers Database. This database is used by NJPSA when conducting job searches for school districts looking to fill administrative positions. To list your career interest on the Job Seeker Database, simply complete the employment opportunities form in the members only section. You will need your membership ID # listed on your member card to enter this section.
NJPSA will keep your career information on file. When a job opportunity becomes available, we search the database for potential candidates, who meet the needs of the school district. If we find you are a potential candidate for the position, we will contact you and schedule a meeting to learn more about you.
Retirement Services
NJPSA is unique among the state principal and supervisor associations in the United States because of its extensive retirement planning services. We believe retirement is a major step that requires a clear understanding of the complex elements of the New Jersey public pension system.
An experienced senior staff consultant is available to provide members with comprehensive information regarding the retirement allowance calculation, pension options, survivor benefits, taxation of benefits, insurance, health benefits, and employment after retirement.
NJPSA provides consulting services to groups or individuals in the association office, or at selected sites throughout the state. The Retirement Services coordinator is available to assist members in resolving complex personal service issues with the New Jersey Division of Pensions. NJPSA members are eligible to receive a retirement planning portfolio that includes a personalized estimate of the retirement allowance and a complete set of retirement planning materials.
The association maintains a retirement committee to provide input on a variety of legislative and policy issues of importance to retirees. Members interested in volunteering to serve on the committee should contact the Retirement Services department.
