Frank Palatucci Talks to NPR
Recent education cuts dissected

Last week, outgoing NJPSA President Frank Palatucci participated in a panel discussion with other educators from around the nation on the talk show "On Point." The show, presented by Boston's NPR station, WBUR, also featured Education Week reporter Alyson Klein; Lakesha Carpenter,a recently laid-off California kindergarten teacher; and Roxanna Bornemann, district school administrator in Antigo, WI.
The NJPSA Past President discussed the need to find other methods of school funding, the fallacies of international education comparisons, the disparity of school funding as a function of GDP between the US and other countries, the State of New Jersey's 20-year practice of borrowing from the pension fund and the effect that has had, the villification of teachers as an important contributor to the economic crisis, and other timely issues.
